NGC 7331

NGC 7331 an unbarred spiral galaxy approx. 40 million light years away in constellation Pegasus. Several galaxies seen in the back round of this image are about 300 million light years away. The central bulge typically co-rotates with the disk but the bulge in the galaxy NGC 7331 is rotating in the opposite direction to the rest of the disk.

Shown here LRGB with a few hours of Ha to accent. Total integration time was 8 hours LRGB another 3 hours of Ha. 8 inch RC telescope, MyT mount, QSI 683 Camera, Astrodon filters.
